Text 100 Begins 25th Anniversary Celebrations by Opening for Business in Malaysia

Leading Technology PR Agency Continues Asian Expansion through Organic Growth

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, August 1, 2006 - Text 100 Public Relations, a leading global technology public relations agency, today announced the opening of an office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur is Text 100's 14th office in the Asia Pacific region and continues the agency's philosophy of growing organically. The announcement comes as Text 100 begins its 25 th anniversary celebrations.

Text 100 Malaysia will initially support the needs of several of Text 100's existing multinational clients, including Lenovo and Philips. The office will be led by director and senior consultant, Yeow Mei Ling, a recent recruit from local PR consultancy, Perception Management.

"With 200 employees throughout the Asia Pacific region, Text 100 already has the largest footprint of any technology specialist," said Aedhmar Hynes, CEO, Text 100. "Opening in Malaysia adds another strong foothold in the ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) region, a rapidly emerging economic power with an economy that already rivals India in size. Having an office in Kuala Lumpar also continues our policy of growing organically and is a significant milestone for Text 100 as we start to reflect on, and celebrate, our successes since starting the business in London in 1981."

"More and more technology companies are looking to ASEAN as the next growth frontier," said Tarun Deo, managing consultant for Text 100's ASEAN region. "With our hub for the region already established in Singapore since 1998, Malaysia was the logical next step for our expansion. Technology companies have been increasingly asking for on-the-ground support in this growing market, so the time was right."

Text 100 Malaysia's new leader, Yeow Mei Ling, is a local senior communications expert who has more than six years experience in strategic communications and public relations, beginning with the Kuala Lumpur outfit of Edelman Public Relations Worldwide, where she gained experience in corporate reputation building, mergers & acquisitions, reverse takeovers and listing exercises.

In 2002, Mei Ling joined Perception Management to initially head up the corporate & financial practice before moving onto her next position in the company in 2004. While she continued to specialize in formulating strategic corporate and financial communication programs for clients listed on Bursa Malaysia and for multi-national corporations, she widened her portfolio to include public affairs, communications research and brand communications.
