AIRBUS EXPOSES ON THE CHAMPS-ELYSEES

In October 2008 will be commemorated the centenary of the GIFAS, the French aerospace industries association, and the centenary of the birth of the French aeronautical industry.

To mark this event, the GIFAS is organizing a big exhibition on the Champs-Elysées and the place de la Concorde, from 4th to 12th October 2008.

Airbus is naturally a partner in this exhibition, as well as EADS its parent company, with a stand which will cover various aspects :

- A covered exhibition room, presenting extensive information about the Airbus family, the industrial worksharing in Europe and over the world, the high level of technology, and most of all, Airbus’s eco-efficient policy.

- A covered mini-conference room, with a screen continuously showing videos presenting Airbus innovations in terms of environment (alternative fuels, composite materials used in order to minimize the aircraft’s weight, noise reduction, dismantling and recycling of end-of-life aircraft …)

- An outdoor exhibition of many aircraft structural and symbolic parts representing the Airbus family :

o The cockpit of an A380
o The wings of an A320
o The nose and forward fuselage of an A300
o The engine inlet of an A380
o The vertical tail plane of an A340

And also many models and photographs…
